K2 Sky Pilot Snowboard
An item from K2 Snowboarding
Overview
The K2 Sky Pilot snowboard is built for riders who enjoy trees, soft snow and making quick adjustments to the terrain in front of them. Its wider, tapered shape and medium flex let you pivot and release the tail without needing to force every turn, while remaining versatile for everyday riding. Camber underfoot keeps the ride connected on firmer snow, while rocker and a spooned tip and tail help it move smoothly in deeper conditions. Carbon Y Beam™ reinforcement adds response without making the whole board feel rigid. The Volume Shift™ design is intended to be ridden slightly shorter than a traditional shape: extra width maintains surface area while the shorter length reduces swing weight and makes tight turns easier.
Features
-
3D Base Contour
A 3mm spooned contour in the tip and tail lifts the contact points, helping the board enter turns and release more freely in soft snow.
-
Carbon Y Beam™
The carbon layout adds snap in the tail and directs pressure toward the nose contact points, balancing response with a manageable twisting flex.
-
S1 Wood Core
Full-length bamboo stringers provide damping and resilience, with aspen reinforcing the binding area and paulownia reducing weight toward the ends.
-
Volume Shift™ Shape
More surface area is placed at the waist rather than only in a long tip and tail. That gives the board its compact, maneuverable feel while retaining useful float.
-
Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 Base
A wax-retaining sintered base provides a smooth glide across changing snow. Regular waxing helps maintain that performance throughout the season.
