K2 Alchemist Snowboard
An item from K2 Snowboarding
Overview
The K2 Alchemist is a firm, directional freeride snowboard for experienced riders who want a composed feel on steep terrain and through powerful turns. It rewards deliberate input, with a 9/10 flex that gives you support when loading the edge or landing back into the fall line. An updated S1 Pro core and Recess3D shaping reduce weight where it is less useful, helping the board respond without losing its damp character. Carbon reinforcement and SpaceGlass™ in the nose add stability as snow conditions change. This is a good match for a rider who values precision and strong edge response more than a soft, easygoing feel.
Features
-
S1 Pro Core
Paulownia helps reduce weight, while bamboo and aspen supply damping, strength and response. The layout concentrates support underfoot and reduces swing weight toward the ends.
-
Recess3D Shaping
Precision core milling removes material from lower-stress areas of the tip and tail while retaining structure where it matters. This helps the board feel more manageable without giving up support.
-
Spectral Braid™
Variable fiber angles tune twisting response along the board independently of its lengthwise flex. This helps balance a stable platform with predictable turn initiation.
-
SpaceGlass™ and HyperWeave™
A structural fiberglass insert in the nose helps control vibration and support edge pressure. Carbon biax reinforcement adds response without relying on a heavier fiberglass layup.
-
Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 Base
A wax-retaining sintered base provides a smooth glide across changing snow. Regular waxing helps maintain that performance throughout the season.
