Ruiki Masuda needs no introduction in Japan. For the rest of the world, however, it’s long overdue. His inimitable style and influence have propelled Hakuba's backcountry scene for years. Now, his Signature Series – the first to come out of Asia – brings that legacy global.
Ruiki collaborated with Toshikazu Nozaka for his Signature Series artwork. Nozaka's background as a bunshin-shi (a traditional tattoo artist) brings together Japanese folklore, punk rock culture and surrealism.
The design unfolds like a hanging scroll, with a scene that runs from the summit of Mt. Fuji to the sea. At the center sits the frog, whose Japanese name, kaeru, doubles as the word for “to return,” making it a symbol of safe passage and good fortune in the mountains.
The Jones Stratos snowboard is a hybrid all-mountain board that's built for creative freeriding and all-terrain trickery. A tapered directional freeride shape matched with a freestyle board feel make the Stratos incredibly playful and agile in pow and mixed conditions. The Stratos wants to slice turns and bounce down the mountain popping off every bump, jump or cliff.
Ruiki Masuda's Signature Series Stratos is a hybrid all-mountain board built for creative freeriding. Its tapered freeride shape and energetic board feel deliver float in powder, performance on piste and versatility in mixed conditions. An ash wood veneer enhances stability by damping vibrations, while a responsive nose and tail deliver the pop to slash, butter, and boost off natural features.

Traction Tech 3.0
A hybrid rocker/camber flex pattern defined by more tip rocker then tail rocker and camber between the bindings. The rockered tip floats the board’s nose and improves maneuverability while the camber underfoot provides edge hold and response. A slightly rockered tail maintains the power and stability of a traditional board but helps keep the tail catch-free initiating turns and landing switch.
Traction Tech improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board. “Traction Tech is a critical feature for rockered boards. Rocker improves glide in mixed conditions, but the decreased edge contact makes it harder to really lock into your turns and hold a solid edge. Traction Tech is crucial to offset the edge drift of rocker.”
Freeride focused 3D-base contours featuring an even balance of 7mm of spoon bevel in the nose and 7mm of spoon bevel in the tail. Spoon bevel starts at the rocker point.
Tapered shape - 10mm. The tapered shape sinks the tail in pow for better float and quicker turns.
Power Basalt stringers for sustainable strength. Basalt stringers are made with 100% natural fibers and help transfer power to the edges, improve torsional response and absorb board chatter.
