Salomon S/Pro Alpha C BOA 130 Ski Boot
An item from Salomon
Overview
The Salomon S/Pro Alpha C BOA® 130 ski boot is for a strong skier who wants a close fit and a direct connection to the ski. The change goes well beyond replacing cuff buckles with a dial. Salomon has redesigned the way the cuff connects to the shell, using ExoDrive™ construction and a Powerlink™ connector on the inside of the boot. The aim is to keep your movements connected to the edge as you flex, whether you are holding a carve or making quick adjustments in uneven snow.
The 98mm last puts it in the narrow-fit category, with particular attention to heel and ankle hold. The upper BOA® dial lets you make small changes to cuff tension, while two lower buckles let you adjust the foot separately. This is the firm 130-flex version for skiers who can use that support. Its fit and flex are worth experiencing in person rather than choosing it on the number alone.
Features
-
ExoDrive™ Cuff Construction
A third overlap extends the cuff’s connection into the lower shell. The extra overlap helps support the ankle and heel while transferring movement through the boot as you flex.
-
Powerlink™ Connection
A metal connector secures the cuff to the shell at a lower point on the inside of the boot. This supports lateral power transfer while retaining cuff-alignment adjustment for fitting.
-
Cuff BOA® Fit System
The dial and cable let you make fine changes to tension around the lower leg. It is useful for balancing a secure wrap with room to flex, without disturbing the lower buckle settings.
-
Independent Lower Buckles
Two aluminum buckles adjust the foot and instep separately from the cuff. This lets you refine heel hold without using cuff tension to compensate for a loose fit below.
-
Custom Shell™ HD
A bootfitter can heat-customize the shell to address local fit needs. The goal is to relieve pressure where necessary while retaining the close contact that supports accurate steering.
-
S/Pro CF Expert Liner
Shaped cushioning, external Talyn® material and an elastic toe box help a bootfitter refine the fit around the foot and ankle. The Expert liner also includes a customizable edgeless tongue for adapting instep contact.
-
Serviceable Hardware
Screwed buckles and other removable components allow access for fitting and replacement when needed.
-
Fit and Response
The close heel and ankle fit helps keep small movements connected to the ski. The cuff construction provides support as you flex into a turn, making this a useful option for a strong skier who values precise edge control. A secure fit is important: refining shell and liner contact helps you use that support without relying on excessive buckle tension.
-
GripWalk® Soles
Premounted rockered soles improve walking comfort and traction around the base area. Use with a compatible GripWalk® binding.
