K2 Mindbender 96 Ski
An item from K2
Overview
The K2 Mindbender 96 ski suits skiers who want dependable grip on groomers and enough versatility to spend time in the trees and softer snow. Its 96mm waist gives it a useful middle ground between quick edge changes and a broader platform for variable conditions. Titanal® I-Beam reinforcement provides support when you put pressure into a turn, while Dark Matter damping helps keep the ski composed as the snow gets cut up. An aspen and paulownia core and All-Terrain Rocker keep that stability from feeling cumbersome. It is a good choice for an experienced all-mountain skier who enjoys carving but does not want to spend the entire day on the groomed trail.
Features
-
Dark Matter Damping
TPU inserts weighted with powdered stainless steel are positioned within the core to help absorb vibration. Their placement is tuned to the ski model and length for a calmer feel through chopped-up snow.
-
Titanal® I-Beam
A shaped metal laminate adds torsional support and directs energy toward the edges, helping the ski hold a clean line while retaining a smooth longitudinal flex.
-
All-Terrain Rocker
Tip and tail rise help the ski enter and release a turn, while camber underfoot supplies grip and rebound. The combination works well when groomed snow gives way to softer or uneven terrain.
-
Aspen and Paulownia Core
Aspen brings strength and lively response; lighter paulownia helps keep the ski manageable. The blend balances support underfoot with an easier feel when changing direction.
