The Volkl Deacon 76 is intended to make firm and even icy conditions more fun. Völkl engineers have developed a 3D.Glass sandwich construction with two layers of fiberglass – one that wraps around the base and extends over the sidewalls, and one that sits just below the metal layer on top. This setup provides more power while allowing a smooth, progressive flex down the entire length of the ski. The result is felt immediately on snow, in the form of smoother turns and easier transitions from long turns to short turns. With a full wood core, vertical sidewall construction and two sheets of titanal, the new Deacon models breathe new life into the frontside ski category.
